Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comprising members of Anti-Drug Police Force raided the house of Soe Thu Aung in Ward-5 in Mayangon Township of Yangon Region at 9:00 am on 6 January, and seized 50000 stimulant tablets and 0.9 kg of ICE (methamphetamine) in the house.

In a similar incident, a combined team raided the house of Sai Yi Tit in Ward-3 in the town of Kengtung of Shan State at 3:00 pm on 7 January, and confiscated 8000 stimulant pills in the house.

The culprits have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.— MNA
