Local authorities confiscated drugs in Mongyawng Township, Shan State (east) yesterday, according to Mongyawng Myoma Police station.

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comprising policemen led by Police Inspector Win Tun from Tachilek Anti-Drug Squad-30 and policemen led by Police sub Inspector Htein Win from Mongyawng Myoma Police station raided the house of Daw Ei Htaung in Hweihtam Village in Mongyawng Township yesterday afternoon and seized 515 stimulant tablets weighing 51.5 grams worth K 515000 in the house.

Authorities filed charges against Daw Ei Htaung, 48, under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Sai Aung Zaw Lin, IPRD
