Security personnel from a border town in Eastern Shan State seized drugs and weapons in a house raid on 16 September, according to source from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Law enforcement officials raided the house of a man identified as Arr Far, 73 years old in a shifting cultivation farm near Mae Khoung Village, Tachilek Township at about 10 a.m. on 16 September while on patrol. They discovered 3600 stimulant tablets, one assault rifle, one magazine and 90 bullets in the compound of the house.
The house owner is being questioned over possession of drugs and weapons by the local police in accordance with the law.
