Authorities seized heroin and 14 stimulant tablets at Namakyaing junction on Shwebo-Myitkyina Road, Indaw Township, Katha District, Sagaing Region this morning.

Acting on a tiff-of Police members led by Police Sub-inspector from Naba Police Outpost, Indaw Township together with witnesses intercepted a motorbike driven by Than Htay heading to Myitkyina from Katha on Namakyaing junction on Shwebo-Myitkyina Road and discovered heroin weighing 240.5 grams and 14 stimulant tablets worth K 24.00 million and K 50000 in his possession.

The authorities filed charge against Than Htay of  Matmun Kaing Villag, Mohnyin Township under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Lu Aung (Katha)
