UNION Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw attended the reception to mark the 73rd Anniversary of the National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the Melia Hotel in Yangon yesterday evening.
Egyptian Ambassador to Myanmar Mrs Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim and officials welcomed attendees to the reception.
The reception was opened with the national anthems of Myanmar and Egypt.
The ambassador and the Union minister extended greetings and cut the ceremonial cake to mark the National Day of Egypt.
The ambassador hosted a dinner for all dignitaries.
The reception was also attended by Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin, Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn, ambassadors from foreign missions in Yangon, charges d’affaires ad interim, resident representatives of UN agencies, and guests. — MNA/KTZH
