Paukkhaung, 10 February 

Eight CCTVs were put in place at South Nawin Dam in Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region over a recent rumor that the dam was on the brink of collapse.

The test-run of CCTVs put in place was conducted on 8 February evening under the supervision of Pauk Kaung Township Administrator U Kyaw Htay.

It is learnt that data received from those CCTVs will be issued to the local people via website (www.bagoregion.gov.mm) and Facebook page (Bago Region Government Office) of Bago Region Government in real time. Local people were also urged not to believe rumors.— Phyo Ko Lin ( Naung Wine)
