Eight more confirmed COVID-19 positive patients being treated at the temporary hospitals in Mongyawng Township in Shan State (East) were discharged from the hospitals on 4 October after tested negative for the virus in the second round of testing.

But the eight will also be put under seven-day home quarantine when they arrive in their native villages in accordance with the guidance of Ministry of Health.

Currently, 401 confirmed COVID-19 positive patients are reportedly receiving medical treatment in Mongyawng Township.

Out of 583 confirmed COVID-19 positive in Mongyawng, 401 have been discharged from the temporary hospitals after receiving medical treatment. But three deaths were confirmed in the township, according to General Administration Department—Sai Aung Zaw Lin
