Eight people who returned from foreign country were allowed to go back home after being placed under 21-day observation at a facility quarantine center in Leiktho sub-Township, Hpa-an District, Kayin State yesterday.
Member of committee on COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment and Administrator of Ward-4 in Leiktho Daw Khatta Swe gave words of encouragement to the returnees. Then, Dr. Zayya Oo from Department of Health urged the returnees to stay in their native towns and villages in accordance with rules released by Ministry of Health and Sports.
The returnees including two women and six men will also be put under seven-day quarantine when they arrive in their native towns and villages.
Currently, six people coming back from Thailand are put under 21-day observation at the quarantine centers in Leiktho, Kayin State.
