A ceremony to provide cash assistance to elderly over 85 years old was held at the office of the General Administration Department in Demoso Township, Kayah State this morning.

On the occasion, township administrator U Nyan Hlaing clarified the purpose of cash assistance to the elderly. Then, officials provided cash assistance to the elderly via ward and village administrators.

A total of 168 elderly over 85-year old in the township were provided K 10,000 each for three months.
