The township Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Livelihoods and Food Security Fund jointly provided social pension to elderly people above 85 years old in Kyunsu Township, Myeik District, Taninthayi Region yesterday.

Officials from the township Department of Social Welfare, General Administration Department, IPRD, the Livelihoods and Food Security Fund and MP U Toe Lwin of No 1 constituency of Regional Hluttaw disbursed social pension to elderly people in the township on a door-to-door basis.

Under this financial aid program, 339 senior citizens in the township received K 60000 each amid the outbreak of COVID-19.—Min Kyaw Saw, IPRD
