Staff from the township Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and the Livelihoods and Food Security Fund jointly provided cash aid to elderly people above 85 years old, pregnant women and children below two years old in Milawkhi Village in the town of Shanywathit, Hpa-an District, Kayin State yesterday on a door to door basis. 

Under this cash aid program, four elderly people above 85 years old received K 60000 each and 145  people including 33 pregnant women and 112 children below two years old in the town received K 30000 each amid the outbreak of COVID-19.
