Officials from the township Department of Social Welfare disbursed social pension to elderly people above 85 years old in Kyuntaw Ward in the town of Twante, Yangon Region this morning on a door to door basis.

Under this cash aid program, 34 senior citizens above 85 years old received K 60000 each amid the outbreak of COVID-19 in the township.

There are 689 elderly people who are eligible for social pension in Twante Township, Yangon Region.
