The township Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Livelihoods and Food Security Fund jointly provided social pension to elderly people above 85 years old in Ye-U Township, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region this morning.

Officials from the township Department of Social Welfare and the Livelihoods and Food Security Fund disbursed K 6000 each to elderly people in the township on a door-to-door basis.

Under this financial aid program, 898 senior citizens from 191 villages in the township received K 60000 each amid the outbreak of COVID-19.
