A gravel road is being built with the funds from Emerald Green Project in Shwetaung Village, Kyunhla Township in Sagaing Region.
“We implemented the Emerald Green Project in our village in the fiscal year 2015-2016. Our village was also awarded the second prize for operating agriculture, livestock, trading and loom industries through the loans from the project. Now the gravel road is being paved with the financial assistance from the project,” said U Aung Kyi Oo, chairperson of the village’s Emerald Green Project committee.
The rural road measures 1000 ft. in length, 12 ft. in width and is one foot thick. Construction of the road is being supervised by officials from the Department of Rural Development.—Myo Win Nyo (Kyunhla)
