An opening ceremony of English language proficiency course was held in conjunction with a basic computer training course at a library in Ward-2, Palaw Township, Taninthayi Region yesterday morning.

Firstly, Regional Lawmaker U Kyaw Min and Township Administrator U Lwan Moe Aung delivered opening speeches. The duration of the courses is one month and will be lectured by two trainers from Myeik. A total of 20 trainees will be given training at the computer course while 40 trainees will be allowed to attend English language proficiency course. More than 300 people enlisted their names to attend the courses.

Arrangements have been made for the elderly people to attend the courses. The intention of the courses is improve physical and mental skills of the new generations.—Htoo Wai Yan (IPRD)
