A coordination meeting to erect Bogyoke Aung San statue in Hlaingthaya Township in Yangon was held at the meeting room of the township General Administration Department this morning.

At the meeting, U Myat Khaing, chairman of the organizing committee dealt with a land plot where the statue will be erected and maintenance of the statue. 

Then, U Aung Phone Myat, secretary of the committee clarified matters relating to casting of the statue and seeking contributions. So far, a total of K 11.4 million have been received by the committee for the materialization of the statue of Bogyoke Aung San, Myanmar’s national hero.—San Kyaw Oo (IPRD)
