Hailing the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, essay, painting and poster competition was held at the B.E.H.S.-2 in Taunggyi Township, Shan State this morning.

Chief Minister of Shan State U Aung Zaw Aye, the Chief Justice of Shan State High Court, the state Ministers, Attorney General of the state and officials from the State Government inspected the contest and provided cash assistance to the students. Cash donation was accepted by Police Lt-Col Linn Htut from No. 2 Anti-Drug Squad.

A total of 164 students from Basic Education Middle Schools and Basic Education Primary Schools throughout the Township took part in the contest.—Maung Maung Than(Taunggyi)
