Sintgaing, 11 July

In commemoration of Martyr’s Day which falls on July 19, essay and painting competition was held at the community center of Information and Public Relations Department in Sintgaing Township, Kyaukse District of Mandalay Region this morning.

First of all, an official from the Township Information and Public Relations Department clarified the purposes of the competition. Then, an official (retired) from Basic Education Department explained the discipline to be followed by students. A total of 15 students participated in the essay competition.

Afterwards, Painting competition was held at the same place. Before the competition, painter U Khin Maung Win explained rules of the competition. A total of 12 students competed in the painting contest.—Kyaw Mu Ya Maung(Sintgaing IPRD)
