Kawhmu, 14 June

In commemoration of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, an essay writing competition was conducted at the library of IPRD in Kawhmu, Yangon Region this morning.

At the event, official from the Township IPRD explained about rules and regulations of the competition and the purpose of the essay writing competition. 21 high school level students competed in the essay writing contest titled “Youth and Scourge of Drugs”.

Afterwards, officials from the Township IPRD presented prizes to the outstanding students. This was followed by the presentation of gifts to all students by Acting Police Major Win Hlaing.—Kyaw Thura, IPRD
