In commemoration of the 72nd Martyr’s Day, an essay writing competition, organized by the Township IPRD, was conducted at the community center of IPRD in Myingyan, Mandalay Region this morning.

At the event, staff officer of the Township IPRD Daw Nan Myint explained about the purpose of the essay writing competition to mark the 72nd Martyr’s day. 

Afterwards, she declared the essay titled “July 19 Rain of tears” and the students began to contest the essay writing competition. Altogether 21 middle school level students competed in the essay writing contest.

A ceremony to present awards to outstanding students will be held on 17 July, it is learnt.—U Zaw Min Naing ( Myingyan)
