Religious objects to be fixed atop the Eternal Peace Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw and Buddha Images which will be housed at the pagoda were brought from the Shwedagon Pagoda to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda in Kyaikto yesterday.

Members of the Sangha and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and members of the Yangon Region cabinet carried the religious objects and Buddha images around the Shwedagon Pagoda clock-wise before conveying them to Kyaikto.

The religious objects and Buddha images were welcomed at the entrance to Mon State by local authorities and conveyed to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda.

At the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, Shweparami Tawya Sayadaw Ashin Sandadika delivered a sermon on eternal peace yesterday.—Han Lin Naing (Translated by GNLM)
