Religious objects to be fixed atop the Nay Pyi Taw’s Eternal Peace Pagoda and Buddha images to be housed at the pagoda, were conveyed from Hinthada to Pyay yesterday for public obeisance.

 


The religious objects were stopped over at the Shwesandaw Pagoda in Pyay and Sayadaw Ashin Sandadhika delivered a sermon on peace at the Independence Pillar ground in Pyay yesterday. Earlier in the day the religious objects and Buddha images that were at the Saehtatgyi Pagoda, Hinthada Town since the day before were conveyed to the Shwesandaw Pagoda on a motorcade by Bago Region Minister for Planning and Finance U Nyunt Shwe, departmental officials from region, districts and townships, and religious associations, local populace and devotees pay homage and made donations along the road.

 


The Buddha Images carved from marble stones and golden religious objects will be stopped over in Magway on 28 April, Bagan on 29 April, Mongwa from 30 April to 1 May, Mandalay from 2 to 6 May, Kyaukse on 7 May, Thedaw (Wundwin) on 8 May, Taunggyi on from 9 to 11 May, Loikaw on 12 May, Taungoo on 13 May, Nay Pyi Taw from 14 to 18 May for public obeisance and Sayadaw Ashin Sandadhika will deliver a sermon on peace in every town.—Han Lin Naing (Translated by Win Ko Ko Aung)
