The Sai Zaw Zaw Group, one of the leading Lethwei promotion groups in Myanmar will organize a Myanmar-Thai Lethwei fight at Theinbyu Indoor Stadium in Yangon on 31 March.

 

The Lethwei event headlined “Lethwei Nation Fights” will take place under the supervision of the Myanmar Lethwei Federation of the Ministry of Health and Sports. There will be altogether eight bouts in the Lethwei challenge. Myanmar’s former open weight Lethwei champion Tun Tun Min will clash with a Muay Thai warrior in the main event under Myanmar’s Lethwei rules.

 

Byat Kha, another Lethwei contender will battle a Thai opponent in the co-main event. Saw Mu Htaw Gae from Yangon-based Thutti club will take on Thailand’s Wiyawtara. There will also be four bouts between Myanmar Lethwei warriors. There will also be other bouts with up and coming fighters during the event.  

 

The Lethwei challenge will be broadcast live on CANAL+ channel and ticket prices range from Ks. 10,000 and Ks. 80,000.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
