Under the leadership of the township committee on Covid-19 prevention, control and treatment, measures have been stepped up to fight against Covid-19 pandemic in Mongping Township, Shan State (East).
As part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Myint Win, Police Inspector Aung Myo Han and members from the township Police Station, executive officer from the Township Development Committee U Sein Win and staff, firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department, medical staff, volunteers from the Township Red Cross Society, members of the Township Women Association participated in the activity and handed out facial masks to passers-by at the crowded places such as Myoma market and junctions in the town this morning.
In addition, departmental officials including nurses and health workers stepped up coronavirus prevention measures such as conducting health checks on travelers with infrared thermometers and shared knowledge about the danger of COVID-19 pandemic.—Daw May Mon Htut, IPRD
