An event to provide crop compensation to the local farmers was held at the ward administrator’s office in Chaungtha town, Ayeyawady Region on September 23.
    

The farmer’s land plots were confiscated when a power transmission line was constructed in the area. On the occasion, a total of more than K 81.74 million was presented to 25 farmers from three villages for their grievances. In addition, some farmers from Ngwehsaung town will be furnished with crop compensation, said an official from the township Electricity Supply Enterprise.
    

Also present on the occasion were Chaungtha Town Administrator U Kyaw Thu, officials from the ESE, ward and village officials and locals.
