A ceremony to provide farmland compensation to owners whose farmland in the construction of 66 KV transformer in Kengtung Township, Shan State (East) was held at the Township General Administration Department this morning.

At the ceremony, District Administrator gave opening remarks. Then those who released farmland with four acres for construction of 66 KV transformer were provided K 80 million at a rate of K 16.3 million per acre and K 3.7 million of crop compensation for three years.

At the ceremony, MPs of Hluttaw, officials from Electricity Supply Enterprise, District and Township Land Management Teams and community leaders were in attendance, according to the District Information and Public Relations Department.
