Mohnyin 21 December

A comprising team including officials from District Department of Consumer Affairs and Township Administrators made a surprise check on sales of prohibited and expired foods in Nanmong market in Mohnyin District, Kachin State on 19 December.

Then, they seized the prohibited and expired foods and explained the impacts on sales of the prohibited and expired foods. Next, the officials handed over the seizures to the Township Administrator to destroy them.

Afterwards, the officials from the Department of Consumer Affairs conducted an awareness discussion on Consumer Protection Law and requirements for product safety at the office of the Township Administrator. In addition, an official from the Information and Public Relations Department discussed how to cultivate reading habit.

Present on the occasion were Township and Ward Administrators, entrepreneurs and shopkeepers.
