Officials from Food and Drugs Administration Department inspected foods and beverages being sold in Myoma market in Demoso Township, Kayah state yesterday morning.


Officials from FDA department led by township administrator Nyan Hlaing conducted an inspection of food stalls, cosmetics shops, urging the shop owners not to sell foodstuffs and cosmetics products unfit for human consumption.


In doing so, officials checked out 22 items of foodstuffs and seized 30 packets of chilli powder with a brand name “ Boat Son Ma”, 10 packets of chilli powder in the name of “Shwe Hin Tha” and two bottles of chilli sauce produced in the name of “Golden Eagle” which were unfit for consumption and destroyed them.—Kyi Dee Ye
