A ceremony to furnish agricultural items, purchased by Union funds, to farmers for flooded farmlands in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State was held at Shwe Gun Technical Center.

First, an official from Hlaingbwe Township Agricultural Department handed over fertilizer, pesticide and pamphlets about systematic utilization of fertilizer to farmers whose farmlands were flooded.

A total of 438 acres of farmlands from nine villages were destroyed by flood. The department will continue to provide agricultural items to the affected farmers in other villages.
