A ceremony to furnish 50 bicycles to students from Kyauktaga(ta) village in Kyaukpadaung Township, Mandalay Region was held at a monastery in the village yesterday.

 

Positive Pioneer Company Limited and Less Walk Organization jointly donated the bicycles. At the ceremony, village-tract Administrator and Assistant Township Education Officer gave remarks. As well, Project Director from Positive Pioneer Company Limited clarified the purpose of the donation and Head of the BEHS in Magyidine village also expressed words of thanks.

 

Then, the project director handed over two bicycles and K 300,000 to Kyauktaga village monastery and K 200,000 to the village BEPS via responsible person U Win Shwe. Magyidine village is ten miles away from Kyauktaga village and all the students are going to school on foot. Therefore, 48 students who are studying at BEHS in Magyidine village were provided 48 bicycles and a total of 150 bicycles were provided to students in Pakkou, said the project director.
