A documentary on cooperation between fishermen and Irrawaddy dolphin in capturing fish was being filmed along Ayeyawady River in Mingun area, Sagaing Region yesterday.
The Japanese film crew in cooperation with the Fishery Department and Wildlife Conservation Society was filming along Ayeyawady River in Myitkangyi, Indown, Ywathit, Shame Maka and Sinkyun villages onboard a vessel owned by Living Irrawaddy Dolphin Project starting from 15 May and will continue until 23 May.
Furthermore, the film crew will film production of of fabrics using local cotton under the Cotton Bagan brand in Shan State south Inle Lake, cotton wear production in villages of Meiktila Township, sales of cotton wears in Bagan NyaungU Township and conduct interviews from 24 May to 1 June. The Ecotourism television documentary was being arranged to be broadcasted in NHK television program it is learnt. — MNA
