An event to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Lemyethna Township, Ayeyarwady Region this morning.

During the event, officials from Hinthda Township Department of Disaster Management and the Township General Administration Department handed over Ks. 912300 to respective wards and village administrators for purchasing rice and construction materials.

The powerful winds hit the villages in Laymyethna Township on 14 October this year and destroyed 15 houses. Under this cash aid program, 63 victims of strong winds from 15 houses in the Township received cash aid.—Kyaw Hein(Laymyethna)
