With the aim to promote fish consumption and to increase fish resources, a ceremony to release fingerlings into Kyeeohn-Kyeewa Dam in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region was held this morning.


At the ceremony, Magway Regional Chief Minister Dr. Aung Moe Nyo and MP U Tun Tun of Pyithu Hluttaw gave remarks. In addition, an official from the Regional Department of Fisheries also clarified the purpose of the release of fingerlings. 


Next, Regional Chief Minister Dr. Aung Moe Nyo, Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Win Maw Htay, officials from the Regional Department of Fisheries and departmental personnel released 350000 fish species of different kinds into the dam. 


Afterwards, the officials went to BEHS in Maezali village in the township and handed over K 5 million to the Head of the school for the construction of a school library and a school building.
