With the aim of increasing fish resources, ensuring food security and promoting fish production, Kawhmu Township Department of Fisheries released fingerlings into Phalay Creek in Myoma Ward in the town of Kawhmu, Southern District of Yangon Region this morning in line with the guidance of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
On the occasion, Deputy staff officer of the region Fisheries Department U Tint Lwin, Chairman of the Township Administration Council U De Wa and members, staff officer of the Township Fisheries Department Daw Let Mon Tint and staff, departmental personnel, ward administrators and members of the Township Women’s Affairs Federation released a total of one million fish species into natural creek.—Kyaw Thura(Kawhmu)
