Twante 29 September

With the aim of increasing fish resources and ensuring fish consumption, a ceremony to release fingerlings into Twante Canal in Twante Township, Yangon Region was held on September 29.

Officials from Region, District and Township Departments of Fisheries, members of the Township Administration Council and departmental personnel released 400,000 fish species of different kinds into the natural lake. 

During 2022-2023 FY, a total of 7 million fingerlings were added into rivers, creeks, dam and natural lakes in the township.
