Maei,  21 March

A fire broke out at the house of Daw Saw Yi, 58, daughter of U Aye Maung of New Kinchway Village, Gyiphyutaung village-tract, Maei Sub-Township at 2:30 pm yesterday.

The fire started from an ember left at the house and was put out at 2:40 pm by fire fighters from Township Fire Service Department and locals before spreading to neighbors.

The house was destroyed beyond repair.

Authorities filed a case against Daw Saw Yi for her negligence.—Maung Maung Htay, Township IPRD
