Myawaddy, 8 December
A fire broke out in ward-4 in the town of Myawaddy, Kayin State at about 10:00 pm on 7 December, and destroyed a two-story house, according to the township Fire Services Department.
The fire was thought to have started from overheated wire installed in the home of U Kyi Lwin in ward-4 in the town of Myawaddy.
Firefighters from the township Fire Service Department rushed to the scene to put out the fire in collaboration with locals using five fire engines, five water tankers and eight private water tankers, and the blaze was totally extinguished at about 10:45 pm.
U Kyi Lwin was slightly injured in the fire. Authorities filed a case against U Kyi Lwin for his negligence.
