Fire broke out at about 8:05 pm yesterday in Yaekyi Village in Nattalin Township, Bago Region and completely destroyed a house.

The fire was thought to have started from an ember left in the home of Daw Mah Cho in the village.

Auxiliary firefighters led by Sergeant Wei Yan Htut from Tarpun Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire in collaboration with villagers, police members and local security forces using two fire engines and the blaze was completely extinguished.

Action is being taken against Daw Mah Cho for fire negligence in Tarpun Police Station.—Tin Myint(Nattalin)
