Taze 10 January

A fire broke out in a house in Myitta Myaing Ward in the town of Taze, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region at about 12:15 pm on January 9.

The fire was extinguished by officials from Township Fire Services Department and local residents with three fire engines and water tankers. The blaze was put out at about 1:30 am.

The fire was triggered by the overheated electric wire and it spread to a motorbike and tarpaulin sheet. The fire destroyed a house, a motorbike and a vehicle. 

Action has been taken against the house owner over fire negligence by the local police station.
