Thongwa, 15 February

Fire broke out at the house in Kaingkon Village in Thongwa Township of Yangon Region at about 12:45 pm yesterday. 

The blaze started from an overheated Electric Kettle in the house of U Than Zaw Oo and completely destroyed the house. 

Firefighters from the Township Fire Service Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with the villagers and auxiliary firefighters using two fire engines and the blaze totally extinguished at about 1:5 pm. 

But no casualties were reported in the fire. The authorities pressed charged against U Than Zaw Oo for his negligence. —Ko Kyaw(Thongwa)
