Bamo, 4 June
Fire damaged a house in the town of Bamo, Kachin state in the evening of June 3, according to Bamo District Fire Services Department.
Shortly after receiving information from a local people that a house was on fire, fire brigades led by U Soe Min Khaing, head of Bamo District FSD, dashed to the scene to fight the fire. Fire fighters managed to put out the fire in ten minutes with the use of two fire engines and three water trucks.
The authorities ascribed the cause of the fire to an overheated fan left inside the house when U Bo Bo, the owner, went outside without switching it off.
No causality was reported in the fire despite damages to the single-storey house. The police filed charges against U Bo Bo over his negligence.— Win Naing ( Kachin Myay)
