A fire drill was conducted at the compound of municipal market in the town of Mahlaing, Mandalay Region yesterday.

At the event, staff officer of the Township Fire Services Department U Zay Yar Aung gave an opening speech and clarified the purposes of the drill. Then, Nay Da Na from the Township Fire Services Department orchestrated how to use fire extinguishers when a fire breaks out in the area. Next, auxiliary fire fighters and locals practically extinguished fire using a fire extinguisher.

Afterwards, staff officer of the Township Fire Services Department U Zay Yar Aung demonstrated how to use fire engines when a fire breaks out in the compound of the market.

Also present on the occasion were Chairman of the township management committee U Kyaw Soe and members, Chairman of the township Development committee U Mya Than and Members, auxiliary fire fighters and locals.
