A fire drill was conducted at the compound of the office of the Township Fire Services Department in Namhkam, Shan State(North) yesterday.
First of all, staff officer of the township Fire Services Department U Aung Than Tun demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers when a fire breaks out in the area. Afterwards, auxiliary fire fighters, staff from the township Department of Rural Development and locals practically extinguished the fire.
Then, U Aung Than Tun clarified the purpose of the drill and disseminated knowledge about the risks of fire and preventive measures against the fire.—Sai Tun, Township IPRD
