A fire drill was conducted in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event about the natural disaster at Nandawon Market, South Okkalapa, Yangon Region yesterday.

At first, the region Hluttaw Representative Daw Thit Thit Myint and the Township Administrator U Nyein Chan Aung delivered speeches. Then, staff officer of the township Fire Services Department U Zin Min explained the purpose of the drill and disseminated knowledge about the risks of fire.

Afterwards, firefighters demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers when a fire breaks out in the area.

The region Hluttaw Representatives, officials from the township GAD, the township Development Affairs Committee and locals attended the event.—Nay Htet Aung
