A fire drill was conducted in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event at the Myoma Market in Thegon Township, Bago Region on 19 January.

At first, Chairman of the township management committee U Rawai Soe and Chairperson of the township development committee U Tin Than Oo disseminated knowledge about the risks of fire. Next, firefighters demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers when a fire breaks out in the area. They also demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers and conducted the first aid drill by using fire engines, water tankers and fire extinguishers.

Firemen also shared knowledge about carrying out relief and rescue operations for the disaster victims. The activity was jointly organized by the Fire Services Department and Electricity Supply Enterprise.—Naing Lin (IPRD)
