Taungdwingyi, January 24

The firefighters led by U Maung Maung Htwe, the head of the township Fire Service, practiced a fire drill and demonstrated the methods of extinguishing fire in front of local residents in Thila village, Taungdwingyi township, Magway region yesterday evening.

The township Fire Service has been organizing informative talks in wards, villages and basic education schools in order to make local people aware of the danger of fire. And Firefighters have been practicing fire drills with the cooperation from local residents to make sure there is a swift response in case of fire as the dry season is approaching.—Naing Win (Taungdwingyi)
