Pyawbwe, 22 January
A fire broke out in Pyawbwe Township, Yamaethin District, Mandalay Region at 7:40 pm yesterday and 19 houses were engulfed by the fire, according to the Township Fire Services Department.

The cause of the fire is from the overheated electric bulbs that were installed at the shrine in a house of U Kyaw Win and Daw Yin Thein New and it affected a total of 128 people including 60 men and 68 women. One slightly injured man was admitted to the Meiktila Hospital.
Then a rescue camp was opened for the fire victims at Lay Kyun Man Aung Congregation hall in Mandalay-tan Ward in the township. Furthermore, departmental personnel and local residents are providing cash aids and foods to the victims.
