A fire station and a water tank facility capable of storing 20,000 gallons of water are being built in Dawtamagyi Village, Dimawhso Township, Kayah State.

The structures are under construction with Ks. 158.1 million of regional development funds of the local government in the fiscal year 2019-2020. A new fire station is under construction in Dawtamagyi Village which is 28 miles long from Dumawhso Township to undertake fire safety measures in nearby areas. Upon completion, fire safety measures plus relief and rescue operations can be carried out in a quick manner, said an official from the township fire brigade.

         

The reinforced concrete facility measures 45 ft. in length, 50 ft. in width and 26 ft. in height and is being built by a private construction company.—Ri Yal (Dimawhso)
