Member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Col Min Naung together with departmental officials met fire victims and presented cash and relief items to them in Zeyarthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

 

21 families became victims of fire after fire broke out in the compound of the Paunglaung Hydropower Plant in Zeyarthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area at about 3 a.m. on 24 February. The Nay Pyi Taw Council member provided fire victims from 21 households with Ks. 50,000 each. In addition, officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement presented relief supplies to the fire victims.

 

Members of the Myanmar Red Cross Society also donated humanitarian aid to the fire victims. The Nay Pyi Taw Council member and his entourage inspected locations where fire broke out and instructed concerned officials to fulfill the needs of the fire victims.—Tun Lin (IPRD)
