Officials from Dry Zone Greening Department under Natural Resources and Environment Conservation distributed fire woods to villages on Tankyitaung Mt. in the town of Pakokku, Magway region yesterday afternoon. 

The fire woods were derived from reserved forests preserved by the department. First, U Sein Toe, head of the township Dry Zone Greening Department explained the distribution of fire woods to villages. Then, the regional Hluttaw MP Daw Zin Ni Ni Win and officials gave fire woods to local residents from nearby villages.

A total of 15 tons of fire woods were distributed by the department to local people from Taungbalu village in Shadu village-tract and Kanphyu village in East Kanphyu village-tract.—Ko Tamar (IPRD)
